Petite Autumn Barn (Mini Masterpiece)

Oil on canvas. Mounted on Antique South Dakota Trim Frame. 7 x 7 in. overall / 4 x 4 in. painting.

This painting was inspired by a fabulous local barn, North of Sioux Falls, which I set into a perfect autumn landscape. In person, you can really see the thickness of the brushmarks in the most prominent tree especially.

This painting is currently on display in my solo exhibition, “Dazzling Dakota,” at Center for Western Studies (CWS) at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  The show runs through April 25, 2025.
