Description

Oil on Canvas. 18 x 24 in. Ready to frame or hang as is: 1.5″ deep stretcher – painting continues around the sides.

Inspiration for this painting came from a late summer’s morning – dreamily draped in fog – at Good Earth State Park, South Dakota. As the mist lifted, the appearance of the soft glowing orb of the sun was mesmerizing.  I delight in walking this path. It truly is so welcoming. It beckons you to seek what’s around each bend. Each new view that opens up is interesting and lovely.

This painting is currently on display in my solo exhibition, “Dazzling Dakota,” at Center for Western Studies (CWS) at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  The show runs through April 25, 2025. It is available for purchase.  Please, contact CWS at (605) 274-4007 for inquiries. CWS is located at 2121 S Summit Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57197. They are open Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM or by appointment.
