Description

Oil on Canvas. 16 x 20 in. Ready to frame or hang as is: 1.5″ deep stretcher – painting continues around the sides.

This sweet oil painting on canvas was inspired by a cheerful summer’s morning at Good Earth State Park, South Dakota. The sky which fades from brilliant light blue to aqua and soft lavender is one of my favorite skies to paint. There is something so Happy about a pretty sky and a simple field, don’t you think :)?

This painting is currently on display in my solo exhibition, “Dazzling Dakota,” at Center for Western Studies (CWS) at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  The show runs through April 25, 2025. It is available for purchase.  Please, contact CWS at (605) 274-4007 for inquiries. CWS is located at 2121 S Summit Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57197. They are open Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM or by appointment.
