At last, this scene along the Sioux River at Good Earth State Park has been breathed into a painting!! The fleeting, heavenly light of dawn across the misty river with wildflowers in the foreground took my breath away and I KNEW it was the perfect scene for my donation to the Friends of the Big Sioux River. This non-profit organization is advocating for the beauty and health of our city's namesake river as well as educating adults and children alike on the importance of preserving, treasuring and enjoying nature in and around the river.
