This painting is an excellent example of the apex of what I am capable of creating within my landscape painting category. It is monumental -  at 8 feet in length. It is also highly textured with 3 build-up layers at its highest peak in the foremost rocky outcropping. It is meticulously painted to reflect the details of specific structures both natural and man-made, modern and historical. It includes an intricate replication - in miniature - of Dale Lamphere's "Arc of Dreams" sculpture.

The painting now hangs in a large glass-enclosed conference room at Lloyd Companies in the Steel District in downtown Sioux Falls, which is directly across from the reception desk. If you can see it in person, it's worth the visit!

What a magnificent challenge and blessing to create this with the guidance of and for my friend, Pat Lloyd...along with her daughters. May it be a blessing and joy for all who view it, always. The Steel District at Falls Park is exquisitely designed and appointed...a delight to view and visit! What an honor to have had the opportunity to paint it for the Lloyd family!

Special thanks to celebrated photographer, Paul Schiller, who allowed me to use his fabulous photo of "The New Sioux Falls" from the observation tower perspective. Such a great capture, Paul!
