This painting was inspired by a scene countless pass by along interstate 90, often to or from a happy trip to the Black Hills...that sweet little peek at the Badlands is always so fun to look for and catch and share with fellow passengers. I LOVE the layers of color in the various grasses and vegetation one can see for miles leading up to the otherworldly moonscape backdrop of the Badlands.
