Wildflowers at Good Earth

Inspiration for this highly textured and sumptuously colorful painting came from the prettiest summer morning at Good Earth State Park, South Dakota. It had been a gentle, yet mysterious, foggy morning, and then the fog lifted to reveal the glorious waves of Prairie wildflowers! This is another of my large paintings really worth seeing in person to get a sense of the depth of textures and details.

This painting is currently on display in my solo exhibition, “Dazzling Dakota,” at Center for Western Studies (CWS) at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
