Good Earth, Autumn Loop

Good Earth State Park is currently my favorite place to go walking to find peace from the everyday pressures of life and artistic inspiration. Walking with a friend there is a particular gift of rest and refreshment - both through God's creation and the communion of souls. For this painting, I worked from a photo I captured on a walk with a dear friend on Cottonwood Loop. The scene captivated me and I KNEW I had to become a painting!!

This original painting is currently in a juried show, "Rivers of the Plains," at the Center for Western Studies  on Augustana University Campus. They are open Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM.
