Gold Lining

Scenes like these lift my heart to hope in God's glory, power, goodness and love. They bring comfort, when life can be so humdrum, exhausting, overwhelming or heartbreaking. My silver lining paintings have struck a cord with so many and when I saw this powerful sunset I realized I had a GOLD lining here and thought it such a meaningful and powerful variation on that theme! I took the photo for this painting over the summer right here in Sioux Falls, SD! I did make adjustments, like taking out homes and streetlights. It's fun to create a perfect scene from everyday evenings...

The painting continues around the sides of the canvas. It is ready to hang as is or frame.

This original painting is currently in a juried show, "Still Becoming, America at 250" at the Center for Western Studies Galleries on Augustana University Campus.
