Morning Welcome (PRINT)

This painting has sold, but it is still available as a PRINT and still on display for viewing at my show, Dazzling Dakota (see details below).

Oil on Canvas. 18 x 24 in. & 1.5" deep stretcher.

Inspiration for this painting came from a late summer's morning - dreamily draped in fog - at Good Earth State Park, South Dakota. As the mist lifted, the appearance of the soft glowing orb of the sun was mesmerizing.  I delight in walking this path. It truly is pleasant. It beckons you to seek what's around each bend. Each new view that opens up is interesting and lovely.

This painting is currently on display in my solo exhibition, “Dazzling Dakota,” at Center for Western Studies (CWS) at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  The show runs through April 25, 2025. CWS is located at 2121 S Summit Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57197. They are open Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM or by appointment.
