Inspiration for this painting came from a breathtaking photo of Yosemite* combined with misty pine forests I have seen in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It is highly textured with many foreground trees sculpted as well as painted. As with many of my larger works, it has far more depth and intricacies than can be seen well online. Viewing this painting in person would be a treat!

This original oil painting is currently available at Houndstooth House in Sioux Falls through February 28th at their Annual Art Show!
